Changes in 2027
For marketplace plans, it's expected that the "enhanced" tax credits the government provided from 2023-2025 won't return, as they didn't in 2026. This means making more income than 400% of the Federal Poverty Level will require you to pay back ALL of your tax credits to the IRS. It's crucial to be accurate on your income estimates. Plans offered by BlueCross BlueShield of WY, and in some counties, UHC.
For Medicare Part D, there will be 9 plans available to choose from in WY, down from 11 in 2026. Premiums start at $5.30/mo. Those on "SilverScript" in 2026 will need to find a new plan for 2027.
For Medicare Advantage plans, WyoBlue Advantage will offer plans in all counties, and Humana will offer plans in some counties.
Remember that "Annual Enrollment Period" from Oct 15-Dec 7th is really only applicable to changing your Medicare Advantage or Part D plans, there are other windows to change a Medicare Supplement plan.
Please use the button at the top of the page to schedule an appointment with WyoHealth Insurance during your "enrollment" time to make sure we can get that done in time. Time will be very limited this year.
